Consultations are free and no-obligation, so you can understand your options before spending anything.

Emergencies

Unexpected dental problems can strain a budget. We will work with you on payment so you can get relief now.

Your first visit

What happens at your first appointment

Set aside about 90 minutes. After a few quick forms, your hygienist will listen to your concerns and screen for decay and gum disease, with digital X-rays and detailed intraoral images. Then Dr. Bernkrant reviews everything with you on the in-room display, so you see what we see.

Whenever possible, we address your main concern the same day — whether that is a cleaning, a deep cleaning or relief from pain. If the oral cancer screening finds unusual tissue, we can perform a brush biopsy on the spot for peace of mind.

FAQ

Billing questions

Do you file dental insurance claims for me?

Yes. We file your claims and handle the paperwork with your dental insurance company.

Will you tell me the cost before treatment?

Always. You receive an estimate of your out-of-pocket cost before any treatment begins, and nothing starts without your approval.

How do you check my dental insurance before my visit?

Call us with your member ID and the name of the plan holder. We contact your dental insurance company, confirm what your plan covers for exams, cleanings and treatment, and tell you your expected share before you book.

What if I don’t have dental insurance?

You are still welcome. Ask about our in-office savings plan for preventive care and treatment, and about payment plans for larger work like implants or dentures. Consultations are free, so you can see your options before spending anything.

What if I’m out of network?

Many PPO plans still pay toward care with an out-of-network dentist. We will help you use those benefits and file the claim.

Do you accept Medicare?

We accept every Medicare Advantage plan. Original Medicare does not cover routine dental care, so most patients use a Medicare Advantage plan with dental benefits. We verify your coverage for you — see Medicare dental care and Medicare’s own page on what Original Medicare covers.
