Overview

Getting your bite — and your confidence — back

Missing teeth affect more than your smile. They change what you can eat, how clearly you speak and how your face is supported. A well-made denture restores all three, and today’s dentures look far more natural than the ones many people remember from their grandparents.

At All Smiles General Dentistry, we take the time to get the fit right. That means careful impressions, try-in appointments so you can see and approve your new teeth before they are finished, and adjustments afterward until they feel comfortable.

If your current denture is loose, cracked or sore, you do not necessarily need a new one. A reline or repair can often fix it — and if you want more stability, we can discuss anchoring it to dental implants.

Your options

Which type of denture is right for you?

Full dentures

Replace all the teeth in the upper or lower jaw. The upper denture is held by suction against the palate; the lower rests on the gums.

Partial dentures

A custom framework holds replacement teeth and clasps gently to your remaining natural teeth. Removable for cleaning.

Immediate dentures

Made in advance and placed the same day teeth are removed, so you leave with a smile. They are relined as the gums heal.

Implant-supported dentures

Snap onto two to four implants for far better stability and chewing power. Lower dentures in particular benefit the most.

Relines & repairs

Gums and bone change over time. A reline re-fits the base of your denture; repairs fix cracks and broken teeth.

Adjustments

Sore spots are normal at first. We see you for follow-ups and fine-tune the fit until it is comfortable.

Step by step

How we make your dentures

  1. Exam & planningWe check your gums, any remaining teeth and the bone, and talk through full, partial and implant options.
  2. Impressions & bitePrecise impressions and bite records capture the shape of your mouth and how your jaws meet.
  3. Try-inYou see a wax version of your new teeth — shape, shade and fit — and we adjust before the final denture is made.
  4. Delivery & follow-upYour denture is fitted, and we schedule follow-ups to smooth any pressure spots as you adapt.

Cost & coverage

Paying for dentures in North Miami

We accept any PPO dental plan and any Medicare dental plan, and we file the claim for you. Coverage for dentures depends on your plan, so we verify your benefits and give you a written estimate before treatment starts — no surprise bills.

No insurance? Your consultation is free, and our in-office savings plan and payment options spread the cost into manageable pieces. We do not publish fixed prices online because the right treatment — and the cost — depends on what we find at your exam.

Most PPO plans cover a portion of full or partial dentures, and many Medicare Advantage plans with dental benefits include denture coverage. We will check your benefits and give you the numbers before anything is ordered.

FAQ

Dentures questions, answered

How long does it take to get used to new dentures?

Most people adapt within a few weeks. Eating soft foods cut into small pieces and reading aloud helps you get comfortable with chewing and speech faster.

How long do dentures last?

Dentures typically last 5–10 years, though they usually need a reline every couple of years as your gums and jaw change. An annual check helps catch fit problems early.

My denture is loose. Do I need a new one?

Not always. A reline often restores the fit. If it keeps slipping, implant-supported dentures can lock it in place.

Can I sleep in my dentures?

We recommend taking them out at night to let your gums rest and to keep the denture clean. Soak it in water or a denture solution so it does not dry out.

Does Medicare cover dentures?

Original Medicare does not cover dentures, but many Medicare Advantage plans with dental benefits do. We accept any Medicare dental plan — call with your member ID and we will verify your coverage.
