Overview

A straighter smile without metal braces

Invisalign uses a series of custom, clear plastic trays to move your teeth gradually into place. Each set is worn for about one to two weeks before you switch to the next. Because the aligners are removable, you take them out to eat and to brush, then pop them back in.

Straight teeth are not only about looks. Crowded teeth trap plaque and are harder to clean, and a bite that does not line up can wear teeth unevenly or strain the jaw. Aligners can address many of these issues for teens and adults.

Not every case is a good fit for aligners. At your consultation we examine your teeth and bite, check that your gums are healthy, and tell you honestly whether Invisalign can reach your goal — or whether another approach would serve you better.

Common cases

What Invisalign can treat

Crowded teeth

Overlapping teeth are gradually aligned, making them easier to clean and less prone to decay and gum problems.

Gaps and spacing

Spaces between teeth are closed, which also helps protect the gums from food impaction.

Overbite and underbite

Many mild to moderate bite problems can be improved with aligners and small attachments.

Crossbite and open bite

Some cases are treatable with aligners; more complex cases may need traditional orthodontics.

Relapse after braces

Teeth that shifted after braces years ago are often a great fit for a short aligner treatment.

Cost & coverage

Paying for Invisalign in North Miami

We accept any PPO dental plan and any Medicare dental plan, and we file the claim for you. Coverage for Invisalign depends on your plan, so we verify your benefits and give you a written estimate before treatment starts — no surprise bills.

No insurance? Your consultation is free, and our in-office savings plan and payment options spread the cost into manageable pieces. We do not publish fixed prices online because the right treatment — and the cost — depends on what we find at your exam.

Some dental plans include an orthodontic benefit that can apply to clear aligners, usually with a lifetime maximum. We will check your coverage and go over payment plans that fit your budget.

FAQ

Invisalign questions, answered

How long does Invisalign take?

Many adult cases take around 12–18 months; minor corrections can be shorter. Your exact timeline depends on how much movement is needed and how consistently you wear the aligners.

Does Invisalign hurt?

Expect pressure or tenderness for a day or two after switching to a new set — a sign the aligners are working. It is usually milder than the soreness from wire adjustments with braces.

Can I eat with my aligners in?

No — take them out to eat or drink anything except water, then brush before putting them back in. That protects your teeth and keeps the aligners clear.

Am I too old for Invisalign?

There is no upper age limit. As long as your teeth and gums are healthy, adults of any age can straighten their teeth.

Do I need a retainer afterward?

Yes. Teeth naturally tend to drift back. Wearing a retainer as directed is what keeps your new smile straight long-term.
